Login With Google

Fans of Open ID will be pleased to hear that we recently added the ability to log in to your APA account with your Google credentials. Users logging into or creating a My APA account or a My PsycNET account will now see this option.

The first time you log in to APA with Google, you'll be asked if you have an existing account with APA and to authenticate the account. Once authenticated, the two accounts will be linked so you can use either login for future sign-ins.

Top 5 & Top 25

Earlier this year, we released a new feature for our journals: lists of the most popular PsycARTICLES articles on the APA PsycNET platform. These lists display the most frequently downloaded publications over the past three months.

The Top 25 Articles displays the 25 most downloaded articles in our PsycARTICLES database. You can access this list from the Browse screen on APA PsycNET, or on the APA Journals homepage.

The Top 5 Articles list will display the most downloaded articles for a particular journal. This list can be accessed from the journal's browse page on APA PsycNET or on the journal's homepage on the APA Journals website.

Topic Guides

This fall, we released six new Topic Guides and started work on several more. These handouts are great for interdisciplinary research — each has three search scenarios, and a selected list of terms from our thesaurus.

As of this writing, Topic Guides are available for:

  • Education
  • Feminism
  • Law & Criminal Justice
  • Management
  • Marketing & Advertising
  • Military Psychology
  • Neuroscience
  • Nursing
  • Nutrition
  • Sexuality & Gender Identity

The guides are available on the PsycINFO Topic Guides page, where you'll find them in two formats: a PowerPoint file that contains only the text, so that you can incorporate any portions of the guide that you like into existing instruction materials; and a full-color PDF that you can download and print at your institution.

We are also glad to send you a quantity of professionally-printed guides, free of charge. Just send us a note.
