Candidates for APA President

The five candidates for APA's 2015 president are answering two questions of concern to psychology in the June, July/August and September issues of the Monitor. This month's questions are:

  • Q5: What is your vision of the future of psychological science in an era of increasing interdisciplinarity?

  • Q6: The average age of an APA member is now over 55. What are your ideas for recruiting, retaining, and engaging younger psychologists?

Balloting begins Sept. 16 and the election closes Oct. 31. For biographical information on each candidate and the candidates' election statements, see the May Monitor.

In addition to these questions, the candidates will be asked to answer two questions about the American Psychological Association Practice Organization. The answers to those questions will appear at APA Practice Central in July.

Candidates' statements reflect their own views and do not represent the positions of APA or APAPO.
